The six areas

Find the right care

Start with the area that sounds closest to what you — or someone you love — may need.

Psychiatry

Psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management.

Psychiatric care begins with understanding how you've been feeling and what may help. Here that includes psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management, with a care plan built around you.

Care starts with an evaluation — medication is one possibility, not a foregone conclusion.

Therapy & Counseling

Talk therapy and counseling to support your mental health.

Talk therapy offers a private, supportive place to work through what you are facing, with the guidance of a counselor or therapist — on its own or alongside other care.

Individuals, couples, families and groups. No diagnosis or referral is needed to begin.

Psychological Evaluations

Psychological testing and evaluation.

Psychological testing and evaluation help answer specific questions about how you think, learn, feel, or cope — insight that can guide diagnosis and treatment.

Includes neuropsychological screening. Often suggested by a physician, therapist or school.

Child & Adolescent Care

Behavioral healthcare for children and adolescents.

Behavioral healthcare for children and adolescents — care that takes young patients seriously and gives parents and guardians a clear place to start.

Parents and guardians can call on a child's behalf — that's how most care for young patients begins.

Geriatric Psychiatry

Psychiatric care for older adults.

Psychiatric care for older adults, attentive to the changes, transitions, and health considerations that can come with later life.

Families are welcome — you can call on behalf of a parent or spouse and ask how to get started.

TMS Therapy

Non-invasive treatment for depression.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive treatment for depression that may help when medication alone hasn't provided the relief you need.

No anesthesia — you stay awake throughout. Offered at our Palm Bay and Suntree offices.

The question we hear most

Psychiatrist or therapist?

In general, psychiatric providers are trained in the medical side of mental health — evaluation, diagnosis, and medication — while therapists and counselors work through talk therapy. Many people benefit from both.

Both are part of the same established practice, so you don't have to decide alone — and your care can draw on either as your needs change.

Common questions about care

Short answers to the questions people ask when deciding where to start. Where a service page holds the detail, the answer links to it.

Have a question that isn't here? Call 321-724-1614 and ask.

Not necessarily. Care starts with an evaluation, and what follows is decided from there. Where medication is part of your plan, it is managed and reviewed with you over time rather than simply prescribed.

No. You don’t need a diagnosis, a referral, or a perfect explanation of what’s wrong. Many people start therapy simply because something has felt harder than usual.

Therapy is a private, professional relationship. If you have questions about privacy and records, our team will be glad to walk you through them when you call.

A structured process that uses established testing methods to answer a specific question about how a person thinks, learns, feels, or copes. It’s designed to see patterns that ordinary appointments can’t always capture.

We provide care for children and adolescents. Call us and we’ll confirm the current details for your child’s age and situation.

It’s psychiatric care that accounts for the realities of later life — coexisting medical conditions, other medications, cognitive changes, and life transitions like retirement and loss. The fundamentals are the same; the attention is different.

No. TMS and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) are different treatments. TMS uses focused magnetic pulses and involves no anesthesia — you remain awake during a session.

Not sure which care is right?

Many patients aren't sure when they first call. Tell us what's been going on, and we'll help you find the right care.
